No it is not a piece of cake. It is a huge hard nut which you can’t crack easily. I am referring to starting an online business/website. Been working on designing eLitwit since couple of weeks and I am almost there but still a few bits and pieces remain which I want to get rid of. In the process I have almost screwed the free time out of my life! Been running around forums, contacting other web designers and randomly walking in the balcony thinking of what else can I do.

Just to give you an update and a hint about what this fantabulous site of the century is going to be about:

• It is going to be fun (obviously, hence the ‘wit’ in the title)
• It is going to have lit too
• But having the above would be too normal, so you can have a blog too at the website for free and post away to glory
• Lastly, you will have a social networking site – meet other litbloggers, form groups, conduct events and play around more

Designing a site having all of the above features has confined me more or less to this chair on which I am sitting right now and typing this. Few things I have realized though:

• Never drink and design!
• This world needs a bloody good documentation for Wordpress MU (spelled Moo, like a cow) which does not exist in one place currently
• There is a much greater need to have another documentation for integrating Wordpress MU with Buddypress – what the hell is wrong with the world! just write one doc!! else I will do when I learn wordpress and buddypress well enough
• Content first, design next – thankfully content has been almost taken care of here
